Lots of our commercial tyre changer machines are built to last, even if they take a hammering in a busy garage. With that said, Hofmann Megaplan tyre changers are designed for high volume, intensive use.
Alloy wheel refurbishers and specialists can also take comfort in knowing that the strength and design of the tyre changer machines we sell will always deliver high-quality, reliable performance.
We offer traditional commercial tyre changers, which use two clamping cylinders to operate four clamps. The Megamount 613 Racing tyre changer comes as standard with our innovative QuadraClamp system, which uses four clamping cylinders where everybody else is using two. This results in more powerful clamping, distributed evenly, with consistent pressure through all four jaws.
Commercial tyre changers with our centre-post clamping mounts secure the wheel via a locking mechanism, with additional security provided by a pin through one of the stud holes. Our system consists of a patented, manual ‘speed-lock’, which provides the same rapid clamping of pneumatic versions, but does away with the mechanism required within the chassis to accommodate it.
For most, the sight of a tilt back arm is now commonplace on their tyre machine. However, there have always been some drawbacks for certain users where space may be a premium or strength and speed is a priority.
The Par Move Concept, as seen on the Hofmann Megaplan 813XL, is a patented design that works to reduce the potential for flex from the force of the arm, increase speed and reduce the required space for a machine.
